RAU Professor Rafik Aramyan’s Research Paper Published in the Journal of Geometric Analysis
In the paper Professor Aramyan presents a new integral representation of the support function of a convex symmetric body via the integral of the curvature. Such a representation is used to give a local equatorial characterizations of convex bodies as zonoids. The representation is a new theoretical result and can help solve issues in Financial Mathematics and Econometrics.
Professor Aramyan mentioned that the scholar who had reviewed the paper highlighted that it contained interesting results and uses of non-trivial methods.
The Journal of Geometric Analysis is a high-quality journal devoted to publishing important new results at the interface of analysis, geometry and partial differential equations. Founded in 1990, by its current Editor-in-Chief, Steven G. Krantz, the journal has maintained standards of innovation and excellence. JGA accepts papers in English, French, and German and has a strong international flavor.
