RAU Professors Visited Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University with a Series of Lectures
On November 3-16, RAU Professors visited Institute of Physics, Nanotechnology and Telecommunications at the Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (SPbPU) with a series of lectures.
The delegation included Professor Eduard Ghazaryan, DSc., RAU Chief Scientific Advisor, Member of the RA National Academy of Sciences; Professor Hayk Sarkisyan, DSc., Head of RAU Institute of Engineering and Physics; Professor Vahan Avetisyan, DSc., Head of RAU Department of Telecommunications.
During the visit, Prof. Eduard Ghazaryan (Scopus), an outstanding researcher in the theory of semiconductor nanostructures, conducted seminars for the students of the Department of Physics of Semiconductors and Nanoelectronics and Natural Science Lyceum affiliated with SPbPU. Prof. Hayk Sarkisyan (Scopus), one of the world's leading scientists in the theory of quantum dots, delivered a course “Introduction to Physics of Quantum Dots” at the department. Prof. Vahan Avetisyan in his turn elaborated on the electromagnetic compatibility theory of radio-electronic equipment.
Prof. Hayk Sarkisyan highlighted that as a result of the visit, they further deepened the cooperation with colleagues from SPbPU, particularly, they agreed to write joint research articles and textbooks and to organize joint research projects.
E. Ghazaryan, H. Sargsyan and V. Avetisyan are permanent visiting professors at the SPbPU Institute of Physics, Nanotechnologies and Telecommunications and Higher School of Applied Physics and Space Technologies.
