HELP- Human Rights Education for Legal Professionals Presented at RAU
On October 4, Russian-Armenian University hosted the HELP - Human Rights Education for Legal Professionals Program presentation.
The European Program for Human Rights Education for Legal Professionals in the European Union member states (HELP in the EU) supports legal professionals to enhance their capacities to effectively and coherently apply European fundamental rights standards at the national level and through cross-border training, mainly referring to the EU Charter on Fundamental Rights (the Charter), the European Convention on Human Rights, the European Social Charter and relevant EU and Council of Europe Law. HELP is also the main educational platform of the Council of Europe for legal professionals.
Program representative Ms. Ana Medarska-Lazova presented the educational platform and key opportunities for the program participants, such as online courses. She highlighted that the courses are constantly updated and adapted to the changes in fields.
The presentation was organized by Department of Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure Law, RAU Institute of Law and Politics. At the meeting, the parties also discussed prospects for future cooperation.
