THE FIRST CESAI CONFERENCE ON AFGHAN STUDIES

The Institute of Oriental Studies, Russian-Armenian University (RAU), will host the First CESAI Conference on Afghan Studies on June 26-28, 2019.
The conference seeks to provide an interdisciplinary forum for the scholarly discussions on a broad range of Afghan Studies not limited to the scholarship on this eponymous country but also dealing with Afghanistan’s environs comprising a unique liminal region between the Iranian world, Turkic Central Asia and South Asia that may be described in terms of the Afghan trans-boundary cultural and linguistic oecumene.

- Centre-Peripheries Relations and Cultural Encounters in Afghan History;
- Afghan Studies from the Perspective of Mobility and Entanglements;
- Future Directions of Afghan Studies.
