RAU Congratulated St.Petersburg Polytechnic University on its Anniversary


 
On February 18, Delegation of Russian-Armenian University headed by Vice-Rector for Science Pargev Avetisyan and Professor of RAU Department of General Physics and Quantum Nanostructures Eduard Kazaryan visited Peter the Great St.Petersburg Polytechnic University, Russia, to congratulate the partner institution on their 120th anniversary on behalf of RAU.
 
RAU Vice-Rector for Science Professor Parkev Avetisyan highlighted that the relations between the two universities serve as “a solid foundation and platform in the context of strategic cooperation between Russia and Armenia”. He expressed his confidence that both universities will continue to strive for excellence for technological breakthrough on a larger scale.
 
Professor Avetisyan handed over the Honorary Order of Russian-Armenian University to the Polytechnic University for their valuable contribution to the development of partnership between the two universities.
 
More than 40 delegations from 20 countries, including delegations of the Technical University of Madrid (Spain), City, University of London (United Kingdom), the Technical University of Berlin (Germany), Leibniz Universität Hannover (Germany) and University of Stuttgart (Germany) also came to personally congratulate the Polytechnic University.
 
Throughout the years, RAU and SPbPU have developed a close academic and research partnertnership - RAU Professors Eduard Kazaryan, Hayk Sargsyan and Vahan Avetisyan are permanent visiting professors at the SPbPU Institute of Physics, Nanotechnologies and Telecommunications and Higher School of Applied Physics and Space Technologies.
 
Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University is one of the top research universities in the region with the focus on applied physics and mathematics, industrial, chemical and aerospace engineering. It houses one of Russia's most advanced research labs in hydro–aerodynamics.
