Russian-Armenian University Launches New Master Program
Artificial Intelligence in Financial Economics
On April 15, Russian-Armenian University presented the first of its kind Master of Science program in Armenia ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN FINANCIAL ECONOMICS.
Head of the program David Tavadian, CFA outlined the program syllabus and job prospects. As he mentioned, the primary goal when designing the program was for the Armenian students to stand out in terms of employment internationally.
One of the highlights of the program is its cross-disciplinary curriculum, covering areas of artificial intelligence, machine learning, big data analysis and finance accompanied by intensive English classes, which will give the graduates a head start on the changing, data-driven job market.
“The main fields where AI can be applicable are Healthcare, Finance and Logistics, and the most you can do with the stored financial data. The job prospects there are fantastic - there are only 10 to 15 firms in the world that do research in finance based on artificial intelligence, and this degree will provide you with the skills to help you have a career that is both interesting and profitable, where you may end up working in London or New York”, said David Tavadian.
The two-year studies will result in an original collaborative teacher-student research project.
The Master of Science degree ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN FINANCIAL ECONOMICS is targeted at students with a Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Math, Information Technology or Physics who have at least 3.0. GPA. Classes will be taught in English, so the prospective students are expected to have a solid intermediate level of English.
David Tavadian, CFA, is the Managing Partner of MEDKON Medical Group and has extensive experience in the financial industry, he has lived and worked in Canada, UK, Russia and in the UAE.
