The international volunteer project Russian Language Ambassadors in the World was in Armenia on November 24 - December 2. In Armenia, the program is supported by Russian-Armenian University (RAU).

This year, 24 volunteers, accompanied by Russian language instructors from the Pushkin State Russian Language Institute, Moscow, Russia, joined the project and came to Armenia. During the 9-day expedition to Armenia, they toured around the country and got acquainted with prominent Armenian landmarks.

The participants gave guest lessons for Armenian students at the schools of Yerevan, Vanadzor and Ashtarak. The school teachers benefited from the program, as well. The Pushkin Institute staff conducted workshops for school teachers on teaching Russian as a second language.

As a bridge in education between Russia and Armenia, RAU always welcomes such projects and appreciates the work done”, highlighted program coordinator in Armenia Gohar Gumashyan.
