Terry E. Thomson, Esq. Delivered a Series of Seminars on Legal English and Contracts Law
On October 7-24, Terry E. Thomson, Esq. Seattle-based lawyer, U.S., delivered a series of seminars on Legal English and Contracts Law for the students of Russian-Armenian University.
The series was designed for students, researchers and Ph.D. students who study Law and Linguistics with the aim to enhance their qualifications through advanced trainings.
In three weeks of intensive training, Terry E. Thomson covered international law and the World Court, common law legal systems, political and legal systems of the U.S. and the UK, constitutional framework, legal education and ethical and privilege issues for legal professionals, alternative dispute resolution methods, comparison of civil and criminal litigation, etc. He highlighted that the classes were delivered with a focus on global English and global legal practice.
“I have enjoyed my stay in Armenia and working with the students,” he said. He visited Russian-Armenian University in the frames of the Visiting Professors Program at The Center for International Legal Studies, a non-profit law research, training, and teaching institute based in Austria.
Terry E. Thomson, Esq. is AV-rated lawyer, which is the highest rating available to an individual lawyer in terms of professional ability and ethics. He first graduated University of Washington and then Harvard Law School.
