Ambassador of Romania to Armenia H.E. Cornel Ionescu Visited RAU
On November 12, Russian-Armenian University hosted Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to the Republic of Armenia H.E. Cornel Ionescu, as Romania declared October 12 Day of Armenian Language, Alphabet and Culture.
RAU Rector Professor Armen Darbinyan, in his welcome speech, highlighted, “We want to sincerely thank Romania and its people for adopting the bill establishing Day of Armenian Language, Alphabet and Culture.”
H.E. Cornel Ionescu in his turn expressed his gratitude to Russian-Armenian University for organizing the event. He also mentioned that the Babeș-Bolyai University, Transylvania, Romania, earlier opened the Institute of Armenian Studies.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Romania H.E. Sergey Minasyan joined the event via a video call and expressed his confidence that such events are to help foster bilateral relations and cultural cooperation between Armenia and Romania.
The event was organized by RAU Department of Armenian Language and Literature (Institute of Humanities).
