Russian-Armenian University (RAU) offers 25 Ph.D. programs certified by the Ministry of Education and Science of Russian Federation and 33 Ph.D. programs certified by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia.
A full-time Ph.D. program has a duration of three years, a part-time Ph.D. program has a duration of four years and requires completing coursework with respective credits. RAU also offers options for those who wish to work on their Ph.D. thesis independently (Ph.D. degree seekers).
Citizens of Russian Federation, Republic of Armenia, CIS countries, as well as international students* and stateless persons can enroll in Ph.D. studies at RAU.
Candidates seeking admission in full-time Ph.D. program should be under 35 years old, those seeking admission in part-time Ph.D. program should be under 45 years old.
*The fees may vary for international students.
Application submissions for full-time study: starting from May 15 | Enrollment: till August 31
Application submissions for part-time study: starting from September 1 | Enrollment: till November 15
The admission procedure for the international applicants is supervised by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia. In order to apply, the applicant is required to take a reference letter from the selected University. If applying to a Ph.D. program at RAU, the applicant should receive the reference letter at RAU Department of Ph.D. and Doctoral Studies.

Ph.D. Degree Seekers
Those who wish to work on the Ph.D. thesis independently, can apply for Ph.D. degree seeking options at the academic departments of Russian-Armenian University (RAU). Ph.D. degree seekers have from 2 to 5 years to complete the academic program and thesis.
