Tigran Avetisyan shares his success story about the study trip to Linnaeus University, Sweden
1. What was the brightest memory from study abroad experience you had?
The brightest memory of my international experience is obviously about my new friends. Music was one of the main things that united us. I loved the way we gathered together at the studio, where every single one took the instrument and started playing something and started working together. We even wrote songs together, which made us feel unified, despite our cultural and national differences.
2. What was your biggest challenge/difficulty during the mobility?
The hardest and biggest challenge that I've encountered during my study abroad experience was learning how to spend my money wisely, saving more and spending less.
3. Name 3 main skills you acquired in the result of the mobility.
Becoming a drummer has always been my dream and the first skill I acquired during the mobility program is learning to play drums. I also gained the skill of playing and collaborating with other musicians. The second skill is cooking. During the mobility I learned how to make different national dishes. And the third one is the intercultural and interpersonal communication. As a result of communication with different people from various counties, I became more tolerant and patient.
4. What is one thing you love most about RAU and what would you like to improve?
The life of a RAU student is active, full of interesting and entertaining activities. I love that most about our university. What would I like to improve in RAU? Well, I'd like to increase the involvement of our students in the life of RAU.
5. What would you recommend to the prospective mobility participants going abroad?
I recommend to the prospective mobility participants not to be afraid of the hardships. Don't miss your opportunity to expand your horizons and gain enriching cross-cultural experiences.
