Director of Institute of Biomedicine and Pharmacy of the Russian-Armenian University, Doctor of Biological Sciences Arsen Arakelyan, and Assistant Director Mariam Alkhazyan took part in the international exhibition BioJapan-2022, the largest global biotechnological, biomedical and pharmaceutical event in Asia. The exhibition was held at the exhibition center Pacifico Yokohama in Japan from October 12 to 14.

At this exhibition Armenia was attended by the Institute of Molecular Biology of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia, the Institute of Bioinformatics of Armenia and RAU, presenting developments, scientific and innovative achievements in the field of bioinformatics in our country.

The exhibition BioJapan-2022 brought together all leading manufacturers of laboratory and medical equipment as those of reagents (Thermo Fisher, Roche, Takara), representatives of universities (Tokyo, Tsukuba, Waseda), employees of technology transfer centers, etc.

“BioJapan-2022 is the largest biotechnological and biomedical exhibition of the Asian region. Several tens of thousands of visitors attended the exhibition this year,” - Arsen Arakelyan highlighted.

Numerous meetings were held within the exhibition, with participants discussing issues of cooperation in the field of genome bioinformatics, computer search and drug design
