RAU Postgraduate Students Spoke at a Conference in Montpellier
The Eighth International Conference on Multifunctional, Hybrid and Nanomaterials is one of the world's leading platforms for discussing the latest advances in nanomaterials.
Postgraduate students of RAUDepartment of Medical Biochemistry and Biotechnology of Seda Ohanyan and Julieta Tumoyan took part in the "Eighth International Conference on Multifunctional, Hybrid and Nanomaterials" and presented poster reports. The conference was held on March 3-6 in Montpellier, France.
"The Eighth International Conference on Multifunctional, Hybrid and Nanomaterials" is one of the world's leading platforms for discussing the latest achievements in the field of nanomaterials. The conference traditionally covers a wide range of topics, including the development of multifunctional materials and hybrid nanostructures. This year, it brought together leading scientists and researchers working in the field of hybrid materials and nanotechnology to discuss the latest achievements and exchange experiences. The participants paid special attention to the use of nanomaterials in medicine, energy and environmentally sustainable technologies.

Julieta Tumoyan, in her turn, presented a poster entitled "Comparative evaluation of the antibacterial activity of AgNPs and their combined effect with chloramphenicol against the growth of Escherichia coli strains", where she compared in detail the effectiveness of silver nanoparticles and their synergistic effect with the antibiotic chloramphenicol against various strains of Escherichia coli. The research of the RAU postgraduate students aroused great interest among specialists and was highly appreciated, also contributing to the strengthening of international cooperation.
The trip of the postgraduate students was made possible thanks to a grant received from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. These studies were supported by the MESCS RA SC grant program (grant number 10-2/25-I/RAUBIOL, 24FP-3B042, 25RG-1F151).
