The Russian-Armenian University has become one of the participants in the Framework Cooperation Agreement, which was concluded on the sidelines of the conference "EDA Connect 2025: Bridging Industry and Academia", held in Yerevan on March 13-14 and aimed at promoting the development of electronic design automation (EDA), semiconductor design and interaction in this industry.
Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia Ruben Simonyan noted at the opening ceremony of the forum that the conference "EDA Connect 2025: Bridging Industry and Academia" creates an opportunity to bring together industry leaders, innovators, scientists and engineers to exchange experience and knowledge, discuss and search for new opportunities, paths and challenges in the design of electronic systems in the future.
In mentioning that the conference was attended by representatives from different countries, universities, research institutes and leading companies in the field, Mr. Simonyan stressed the importance of actively involving participants in discussions and exploring new opportunities for cooperation.
President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia (NAS RA), Academician Ashot Saghyan also delivered a welcoming speech.
"EDA plays a key role in the development of modern technologies. The development of these technologies is important for both scientific research and industrial applications, ensuring competitiveness in the global market," he said.

This was followed by the main session of the conference, with speakers including renowned scientists and representatives of international companies in the field.
The initiative organized by the Institute of Informatics and Automation Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia and supported by the Russian-Armenian University, Yerevan State University and other institutions was specifically noted . It is aimed at promoting research, cooperation and innovation in the field of automation of electronic device design (AEDE), placing it as a strategic priority for the scientific and technological development of Armenia.
A hackathon was also held as part of the conference on March 14, where participants applied their knowledge of SystemVerilog to create projects.
We would like to add that the Framework Cooperation Agreement in this field was signed by the Institute of Informatics and Automation Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia (IIAP) represented by Professor Hrachya Astatryan, and Rector of the Russian-Armenian University (RAU), Doctor of Economics of Armenia and Russia, Professor Edward Sandoyan from the Armenian side and Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA) represented by its president, Professor Bin Jiang, National Center for Technological Innovation EDA and Southeast University (NCTIEDA&SEU) represented by Dr. Zhaoyang Zhang and EDA Ecosystem Development Accelerator (EDA²) represented by Director Yunsheng Zheng from the Chinese side.
