The RAU delegation spoke at the conference of the European Association for Radiological Research in Portugal.

The ERRS conference brought together leading experts in the field of radiation biology from Germany, Switzerland, France, Belgium, Italy, Sweden, Canada and other countries.

The director of the Institute of Biomedicine and Pharmacy of RAU, the Doctor of Physical Science Arsen Arakelyan, Head of the Department of Bioengineering, Bioinformatics and Molecular Biology of the Institute of Biomedicine and Pharmacy of RAU, the Doctor of Physical Science Roksana Zakharyan and graduate of the Master's degree in Computational Biology Siras Hakobyan participated in the 48th Conference of the European Association for Radiation Research, which took place in the city of Aveiro (Portugal).

The ERRS conference brought together leading experts in the field of radiation biology from Germany, Switzerland, France, Belgium, Italy, Sweden, Canada and other countries. Arsen Arakelyan made an oral presentation on radiation-induced clonal hematopoiesis as a risk factor for cancer, and Roksana Zakharyan and Siras Hakobyan made poster presentations. Their poster presentations — "Lifetime Effects of Space Radiation on Left Ventricle Transcriptome in Male and Female Mice" and "Right ventricle long-term transcriptome perturbations in response to whole-body gamma and simGCRsim irradiation" — were recognized as the best, and the authors were awarded the appropriate diplomas.

Note that the European Society for Radiation Research (ERRS) is a non—profit organisation whose goal is to promote research in the field of radiation through the exchange of scientific knowledge. ERRS research ranges from cosmic radiation to environmental radiation, molecular and cellular radiobiology, radiation physics, radiation protection, radiation chemistry, dosimetry, dose rate effects, radiopharmaceuticals, nuclear medicine, non-ionizing radiation, particle irradiation, radiosensitizing agents and methods, preclinical, translational and clinical radiotherapy.
