For the third consecutive year, RAU’s Institute of Economics and Business served as a co-organizer of the conference.

Representatives of the Russian-Armenian University took part in the international conference Global Challenges of Digital Transformation of Markets (GDTM-2026), held from September 29 to October 3 at Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University.

For the third consecutive year, RAU’s Institute of Economics and Business served as a co-organizer of the conference, coordinating the work of the specialized section entitled Current Issues in Modern Management, Economics, and Services in the Context of Digital Transformation: Theory and Practice.

On behalf of the co-organizers, Kristine Ginosyan, Head of RAU’s Human Resources Management Department, delivered a welcoming address, highlighting cooperation between the two universities, the exchange of research experience, and the development of new directions in higher education.

In 2026, more than 30 submissions from RAU were accepted for the relevant conference section. The presentations focused on the digital transformation of Armenia’s economy and the integration of smart technologies into management processes. During the plenary session, Hripsime Kojoyan, Head of the Department of Management and Business at RAU’s Institute of Economics and Business, presented a paper on the development of a university ecosystem in Armenia in the context of digitalization.

Staff members of RAU’s Department of Economic Theory and Problems of the Transitional Economy prepared six research papers, one of which was co-authored by the university’s Rector, Professor Edward Sandoyan. The university was represented in person in St. Petersburg by Zinavard Papyan, Senior Researcher at the department, and Levon Manukyan, Assistant Lecturer. The section also featured presentations by young faculty members, postgraduate students, and undergraduates from both universities.
