Theoretical and Experimental Aspects of Laser Spectroscopy Discussed at RAU
The main goal of the workshop was to bring together scientists from different countries to exchange ideas and share the latest advances in laser spectroscopy and related fields.
The workshop “Theoretical and Experimental Aspects of Laser Spectroscopy,” organized by the Russian-Armenian University and the Institute of Chemical Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia, with the participation of international partners, was held in Yerevan from October 1 to 6.
The event was opened with welcoming remarks by RAU Vice-Rector for Science Pargev Avetisyan and Director of the RAU Institute of Mathematics, Physics and High Technologies Aharon Aharonyan.
“It is a great honor for me to open today’s meeting, which brings together specialists, researchers, young scientists, and students working in the fields of laser physics, spectroscopy, and modern methods for studying matter. Laser spectroscopy is currently one of the most important tools in modern physics and related scientific fields. Its methods make it possible to study the structure and properties of atoms, molecules, and materials with high precision, investigate fundamental physical processes, and find applications in a wide range of areas — from quantum technologies and metrology to chemistry, biology, and medicine,” said RAU Vice-Rector for Science Pargev Avetisyan.
The workshop was chaired by Professor Gagik Gurzadyan, Associate Professor David Hayrapetyan, and Professor Maxim Gelin.
The main goal of the workshop was to bring together scientists from different countries to exchange ideas and share the latest advances in laser spectroscopy and related fields, foster international scientific cooperation, and support young researchers and students in expanding their knowledge and becoming more actively involved in scientific research.
The main sessions were held at the Russian-Armenian University, while part of the program took place at the Institute of Chemical Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia.
