Marta Meliksetyan, Advisor of the Rector of RAU on Organizational Issues, spoke at the forum “Connections Matter: Alumni and the University”

    The forum brought together Russian and foreign experts, representatives of government agencies, the academic and business communities, and, of course, alumni.

    Marta Meliksetyan, Advisor to the Rector of RAU on Organizational Issues, PhD in Law, took part in the International Forum “Connections Matter: Alumni and the University” held at St. Petersburg State University on November 27-28.

    The forum brought together Russian and foreign experts, representatives of government agencies, the academic and business communities, and, of course, alumni. The focus was on their contribution to students' educational and career paths, the formation of a sustainable professional community, and the development of universities' external relations.

    Guests and speakers discussed effective models of interaction between universities and alumni, the development of mentoring, fundraising, and international partnerships. Marta Meliksetian performed as a speaker at the strategic session “Career and Mentoring: How Alumni Help Students.”

    It should be noted that the forum program also included a panel discussion entitled “The Community of Alumni as a Strategic Asset: Russian and International Experience” with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, Rossotrudnichestvo, MGIMO, and other relevant organizations, a strategic session entitled “Fundraising: How to Inspire the Alumni to Support the University,” a workshop called“Communication Strategies in Working with Alumni,” and others.
     
    At the end of the event, Marta Meliksetian was awarded a letter of appreciation.
