“The organisation of the festival pursued one plain yet solid aim, which is to gen-erate interest towards a career in the scientific field. However, our section was devoted to professional orientation, which implied people’s assistance in defin-ing their future specialties. The festival comprised a huge and miscellaneous au-dience, including those who expressed their interest in getting to know the scien-tific achievements of the University. It is notable that the sheer bulk of the audi-ence was composed of the youth, including the applicants”’- shared the chief specialist on scientific and technological cooperation, marketing and commercial-isation of scientific developments from the Department of Science, RAU, Mikayel Avanesyan.
The lecturers and students from the Institute of Engineering and Physics, the In-stitute of Biomedicine and Pharmacy, and the Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science met the representatives of the festival and presented interest-ing and new projects, demonstrated scientific experiments and also discussed the value of becoming a physicist, chemist, biologist and mathematician. The youth had a chance to meet scientists from RAU and pose some questions of interest within regard to key features of their fields, among others.
Needless to mention, the Week of Science was organised by the public communi-ty ‘Gituzh’ with the aid of the Mayor Office, Academies of Sciences and MONKS RA.
