A special guest of the event was Kishan Dan Deval, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Armenia.

On October 1, an event dedicated to World Hindi Day was held at RAU House of Culture. A special guest of the event was Kishan Dan Deval, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Armenia.

During the event, the participants presented works of art, scientific and educational texts in Hindi.

It should be noted that a competition organized by the Embassy of India in Armenia was held within the framework of the cultural program. Based on the results of speeches dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi by Armenian and Indian students, the jury determined the winners in various categories. RAU student Sergey Barinyan took first place.

The event dedicated to World Hindi Day was organized by the Institute of Oriental Studies of RAU jointly with the Embassy of India in Armenia.

It should be remarked that RAU is the only university in Armenia that offers a full course of Indology at the Bachelor's and Master's levels.
