Leading scientists-economists discussed the prospects for the economy of Russia and Armenia in the new reality at RAU

    Professor Armen Darbinyan: "The first challenge that is thrown at us today is the understanding that the world, it turns out, is not global at all, this world is a community of local worlds".

    On April 29-30, the Russian-Armenian University hosted an International scientific conference on the topic "Economics of Russia and Armenia in a New Reality: Challenges and Prospects". The conference was organized by the Russian-Armenian University, the Institute of Economics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Economic Forecasting of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Department of Social Sciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation (RANEPA).
     
    As part of the conference "Economics of Russia and Armenia in a New Reality: Challenges and Prospects", on April 29, the RAU hosted the grand opening of the auditorium named after Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Honorary Professor of the Russian-Armenian University Dmitry Evgenievich Sorokin.
     
    The conference participants were welcomed by the Rector of the Russian-Armenian University, ex-Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia, Doctor of Economics, Professor Armen Darbinyan and the Rector of the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation (RANEPA), Doctor of Economics, Professor Vladimir Mau.
     
    "The first challenge that is thrown at us today is the understanding that the world, it turns out, is not global at all, this world is a community of local worlds. This is the first revelation that we, economists, political scientists, economic and political analysts, should come to as a result of the events that took place in the world in the 1920s and beyond”, - emphasized in his report “Geopolitics and Economics: Interrelation and Mutual Influence in modern conditions" Professor Armen Darbinyan.
     
    The conference gained leading scientists-economists of the Republic of Armenia and Russian Federation. Speakers and guests discussed main problems of economics of Russia and Armenia in conditions of new realities, presented problems of macro economical politics, held in RA and RF, as well considered opportunities and perspectives of its improvement, considered by new challenges of world economics. Professors, doctoral students, PhD students, students of higher education institutions also participated in the conference: Russian-Armenian University, Yerevan State University, National Polytechnic University of Armenia, Armenian State Economic University, National Agrarian University of Armenia, and European University. Colleagues from RANEPA, Belgorod State University, Belarus State Economic University, Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, Siberian Institute of Management RANEPA also joined the conference online.

    The Dean of Higher School of management of Russian academy of national economy and state service of president of RF (HSM RANEPA), PhD of economic sciences, Professor, Honored Economist of RF Sergey Qelendzhyan spoke with a master-class “The system of effective management” in RAU on April 30.

    It should be noted that the International Scientific Conference “Economics of Russia and Armenia in conditions of new reality: challenges and perspectives” coincided with the 10th anniversary of the creation of the Institute of Economics and Business of Russian-Armenian University.
