Questions of personality development in the conditions of modern reality were discussed in RAU

    The international scientific-practical conference gained leading experts and specialists -170 participants - from leading scientific-educational Russian and Armenian structures.

    In Russian-Armenian University III International scientific-practical conference “Relevant Problems of Personality Development in the Conditions of Modern Realities” that has already become a tradition, took place on April 8-9. The conference was organized by the department of Psychology of HIS of Russian-Armenian University facilitated by Russian Academy of Education (Regional scientific centre), Russian Centre of Science and culture in Yerevan, Centre of Socio-cultural research SRU “Higher School of Economics”, Moscow City Teachers' Training University (Samara branch), and Kuban State Technological University.

    The relevance of the problem, modernization of practical spheres of a human supposes qualitative change in a person’s development, education and upbringing, as well as shift to new priorities and aims in the condition of modern realities and all aspects of human life. Members of the International scientific-practical conference were greeted by the Rector of Russian-Armenian University, Professor Armen Darbinyan.

    “Current students are happier than us, students of the 1980s, as they live in the information century, using everything that humanity has achieved today, - assured Professor Darbinyan.- You can and you should develop yourselves. It is encouraging that your personality development does not depend on various factors and people, you are your own creator”.

    As the Head of the Department of Psychology of RAU, chairperson of Organizing Committee, Professor Asya Berberyan mentioned the aim of holding the conference is to find solutions of relevant problems of personality development in the sphere of psychology, establish contacts between scientists of various countries, share with scientific results and experience of research.

    The international scientific-practical conference gained leading experts and specialists -170 participants - from leading scientific-educational Russian and Armenian structures, including from the Institute of education of National research university HSE (Moscow), MSU after Lomonosov, RUDN University, Moscow State Pedagogical University, Kursk State University, Pyatigorsk State University, University of Niš (Serbia), RSUH, Institute of psychology after Vygotsky,Orenburg State Pedagogical University, Moscow State Technical University named after N.E. Bauman, Belarusian State University, Belgorod State National Research University, Lugansk State Pedagogical University,National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia, State Academy of Management of Armenia, Yerevan State University, Armenian State Pedagogical University after Kh. Abovyan, University of Practical Psychology and Sociology “Urartu”, Psychological Center “Aig”, Vanadzor State University.
     
    “Modern education determines the progress of society as a whole. We call our age the age of knowledge, science and high technology, but it is impossible to set the right vector without quality education.  And I am sure that by joint efforts we can solve many issues”, - Professor Berberyan assured.
     
    Speakers and guests of the conference discussed a wide range of issues of personality development, in particular, the psychological problems of personality development in the education system in a pandemic, the problems of interethnic tolerance, issues of national identity in the context of historical experience, inclusive education, psychological aspects of a person's professional development, etc. Along with sectional work in the main areas, master classes by leading psychologists were also held.
     
    It should be noted that following the results of the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Relevant Problems of Personality Development in the Conditions of Modern Realities", a collection of articles will be published. Conference materials will be registered in the scientometric database of the RSCI (Russian Science Citation Index) with the assignment of ISBN and ISSN.
