Vahe Davtyan, Professor at the Chair of Political Science of the Russian-Armenian University and Doctor of Political Sciences, participated in the Eurasian Young Scholars Training Program titled “Digitalization, Green Transformation, Joint Transformation and High-Quality Development.”

The program was held from September 16 to 23 in Beijing, as well as in Zhejiang and Guizhou provinces. It brought together young researchers from Eurasian countries and focused on the digital economy, green transformation, innovative development, smart cities, and contemporary mechanisms for implementing the Belt and Road Initiative.

The program included expert lectures, discussions and exchange of views, as well as field visits to enterprises, industrial facilities, and sites involved in digital and environmental modernization. Particular attention was paid to China’s experience in combining technological modernization, economic digitalization, and sustainable development, as well as to opportunities for studying and adapting this experience in Eurasian countries. One of the program’s objectives was to strengthen academic ties between researchers from the region and Chinese research institutions.

According to Vahe Davtyan, the particular value of such programs lies in the opportunity to study China’s experience firsthand, combining academic discussions with visits to technological and industrial facilities and direct interaction with Chinese researchers and specialists.

The event was organized by the Institute of Russian, Eastern European and Central Asian Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
