Following the election of new members of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia, Harutyun Avetisyan, Strategic Partner of the Russian-Armenian University, Director of the Institute for System Programming of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor, has been elected a Foreign Member of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia.

Garnik Asatryan, Director of the Institute of Oriental Studies at the Russian-Armenian University, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor (sector: “Armenian Studies and Humanities”); David Hayrapetyan, Head of the Department of General Physics and Quantum Nanostructures at the Institute of Mathematics, Physics and High Technologies of RAU, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor (sector: “Physics and Related Sciences”); and Arsen Arakelyan, Head of the Department of Bioengineering, Bioinformatics and Molecular Biology at the RAU Institute of Biomedicine and Pharmacy, Director of the Institute of Molecular Biology of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia, Doctor of Biological Sciences (sector: “Biological and Related Sciences”), have been elected Associate Members of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia.

The election of representatives of RAU’s academic community to the National Academy of Sciences is recognition of their significant contribution to the development of science, education, and research, as well as their outstanding professional achievements.

 

It should be noted that the candidacies of Garnik Asatryan and David Hayrapetyan were nominated by the Russian-Armenian University.
