RA Held a Winter School on Criminal Procedure Law and Criminology

    The participants of the Winter School discussed relevant practical aspects of criminal procedure law and the latest scientific approaches in criminology.

    The annual Winter School on criminal procedure law and criminology was held at Russian-Armenian University on December 15-21 by Ruben Avagyan, professor, PhD in Law and rector of Yerevan Mants University,  as well as Ruben Melikyan, PhD in Law and Associate Professor.

    The Winter School brought together Bachelor’s and Master’s students, postgraduates and applicants not only from RAU, but also from Yerevan State University and the French University in Armenia. The participants of the Winter School discussed current practical issues of criminal procedure law and the most recent scientific approaches in criminology.
     
    “Winter school is one of the most significant events held by the department. The Winter School concept was first introduced in 2020; within these years, it has become an event that students look forward to. I am grateful to the speakers Ruben Avagyan and Ruben Melikyanfor their willingness to participate, profundity and for the way they worked out through the involved issues. Both experts and the audience emphasized the importance of holding  similar events”, - shared Naira Zohrabyan, Head of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure Law.
     
    It is to be noted that the organizer of the Winter School on Criminal Procedure Law and Criminology has traditionally been the Department of Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure Law of RAU Institute of Law and Politics. Upon completion, the audience received certificates, as well as monographs by Professor Ruben Avagyan.
