The report of RAU student Fenya Aghabekyan was recognized as one of the best

    Fenya Aghabekyan made a report ‘The concept of intergenerational justice in the context of current problems of international environmental law’

    On 6 December at YSU Faculty of Law an inter-university youth conference on “Legal Problems of Environmental Protection in the Context of International and Domestic Law” dedicated to the memory of Professor Aida Iskoyan was held. The conference was initiated by Olimpia Geghamyan, Head of the Aida Iskoyan Environmental Law Research Centre, Candidate of Legal Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of International Public Law and European Law of RAU, with the Ministry of Environment of RA. 

    According to the results of the conference, the report of Fenya Aghabekyan, 2nd year student of the Master's programme “Public International Law; European Law” of the Institute of Law, was recognized as one of the five best. The student made a report ‘The concept of intergenerational justice in the context of current problems of international environmental law’, which considered the main approaches to the understanding of intergenerational justice in the philosophical and legal aspect, the problems of legal personality of future generations, international practice and the main tendencies of positivisation of the concept in constitutional law. 

    The best speakers were awarded certificates of participation.
