The student of the Institute of Law of the Russian-Armenian University Yekaterina Andriasyan became a winner of the online Olympiad “Femida” for foreign citizens. The Olympiad was organized by the Russian State University of Justice (Moscow).
It was held in two stages and was devoted to the identification of basic knowledge on the theory of state and law. During one of the stages, the participants were asked theoretical questions that needed to be answered in the form of a review essay. The essay touched upon topical issues of comparative jurisprudence. The examples of national legislation were used to show which legal family the legal system of the Republic of Armenia belongs to. Special attention was paid to the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia and the Declaration of Independence. In addition, a comparative analysis of the relevant provisions of both the Civil Code of the Russian Federation and the Civil Code of the Republic of Armenia, as well as the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia was carried out, and the conceptual differences between the codes were shown.
The objective of the Olympiad was to reasonably build a legal position with reference to the legal acts and scientific works of the jurists of the country represented by the participant of the Olympiad.
