RAU Students Win Semifinal Prizes in the ICPC World Collegiate Programming Contest
The tournament brought together over 300 teams from various universities in Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia.
Students from the RAU Institute of Mathematics, Physics and High Technologies participated in the in-person final round of the Northern Eurasia Championship (NERC), part of the 2025–2026 ICPC World Collegiate Programming Contest.
The competition took place from December 15th to 17th simultaneously at several locations: St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Almaty, and Tbilisi. The tournament brought together over 300 teams from various universities in Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia.
Teams from Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia competed at ALTE University in Tbilisi. These teams also competed in the Open South Caucasus Championship (OSC) and individual competitions. RAU was represented by four teams led by two coaches, Tigran Piliposyan and Aram Drambyan, professors from the Department of Maternal Cybernetics.
Team RAU1 received a third-place diploma in the NERC Finals and a second-place diploma in the OCHUK competition. Teams RAU2 and RAU4 received third-place diplomas in the OCHUK competition. RAU Master's student Garnik Khroyan also received a diploma in the individual competition.
