On March 17 at RAU, Anush Manucharyan, an expert in organizational and professional development with 20 years of experience in HR, learning and development, management, and leadership, delivered a lecture titled “Not Only Resumes and Interviews: How to Identify a Candidate’s True Potential”.

 

During the interactive lecture, students were introduced to the Assessment Center method as a modern and effective tool for evaluating talent and potential. It was noted that traditional selection methods—such as résumé screening and interviews—often provide only a limited understanding of a candidate’s real competencies and may lead to less accurate hiring or promotion decisions.

 

Participants also took part in a mini assessment exercise, followed by a discussion and analysis of the observed competencies and behaviors. Through this practical experience, students learned about the methodology of assessment centers and gained insight into how organizations use this tool to make more informed and objective decisions when selecting candidates.

 

It should be noted that, Anush Manucharyan is the co-founder and director of the company Grow Edutainment, where she designs and implements development programs for businesses, NGOs, and the public sector, helping organizations and teams unlock their potential. She is an internationally certified HR professional (SPHRi), a certified business and career coach, and holds a PhD in Economics.
