Yepraksia Mkrtchyan told RAU students how to turn a company’s strategic vision into concrete goals
During the session, Yepraksia Mkrtchyan explored how organizations translate mission and strategic objectives into daily work, and why so many strategies fail in practice.
On February 25, Yepraksia Mkrtchyan, a management consultant with over 10 years of experience in project management, process optimization, and strategy management (BSC, OKRs, KPIs), delivered a lecture entitled “Making Strategy Visible: From Vision to Measurable Execution.”
Yepraksia also collaborates with private and public sector organizations both in Armenia and worldwide. During the session, she explored how organizations translate mission and strategic objectives into daily work, and why so many strategies fail in practice. The lecture included the concept of strategic agility, an overview of OKRs as a goal-setting and change-driving framework (origin, principles, application logic), as well as KPIs as performance indicators ensuring operational control and excellence.
Particular attention was given to the distinction between OKRs (directional and change-oriented) and KPIs (stability- and performance-oriented), as well as to their complementary role in strategic execution.
The session also highlighted the importance of digitalization, transparency, and measurable performance systems in ensuring visibility and alignment across organizational levels.
As part of the lecture, participants completed a brief practical exercise that allowed them to formulate sample OKRs and KPIs aligned with strategic objectives.
The lecture was organized by the Department of Management and Business of the IEB of RAU.
