NIICE Research Director Pramod Jaiswal Delivered a Lecture at RAU on the Changing Dynamics in the Geopolitics of South Asia

The speaker introduced students to the key aspects and issues of the Asia-Pacific region and discussed with them the impact of the rise of India and China, as well as the growing U.S. interest in the region on South Asia.

How is South Asia changing with the rise of India and China and the growing U.S. interest in the region? On September 9, RAU students discussed the changing dynamics in the geopolitics of South Asia and much more with Dr. Pramod Jaiswal, NIICE Research Director.

The speaker introduced students to the key aspects and issues of the Asia-Pacific region and discussed  the impact of the rise of India and China, as well as the growing U.S. interest in the region of South Asia with them. Dr. Pramod Jaiswal has emphasized that India and China are becoming increasingly significant players on the international scene, which is substantially affecting the dynamics in South Asia. The growth of India’s economy, which is rapidly expanding its manufacturing and exports, is creating new opportunities for regional cooperation, especially in technology and services.

The expert has noted that, given the changes in the geopolitical situation, the United States is also showing interest in South Asia. In recent years, there has been a strengthening of diplomatic and economic ties between the U.S. and India, driven by common interests and challenges.

Dr. Pramod Jaiswal’s lecture made an important contribution to understanding the complex and diverse changes taking place in South Asia. RAU students had the opportunity to hear expert opinions and ask questions about the future directions of South Asia’s development in the context of global processes.

It should be noted that the lecture was organized by the Institute of International Relations and Socio-Political Science at RAU, specifically by the Department of World Politics and International Relations.
