A delegation from the Russian-Armenian University took part in one of the largest startup community events in Armenia, the Sevan Startup Summit 2025, which was held on the shores of Lake Sevan from July 20 to 26. This year, RAU participated not only as an active participant but also as an official partner of the forum, confirming its commitment to fostering innovative thinking, technological entrepreneurship, and the development of digital skills of young people.
“We always support initiatives aimed at developing innovation and human capital. Participation in the Sevan Startup Summit gives our students the chance to go beyond the classroom, test their ideas, and become part of a vibrant startup ecosystem,” noted RAU Rector’s Advisor on Youth Affairs, Hripsime Margaryan.
The RAU team actively engaged in the educational and acceleration programs of the summit, created new startup ideas, and collaborated with mentors and experts from dozens of countries. Participation in the summit has become not only a valuable professional practice for students, but also a source of personal motivation.
“Sevan Startup Summit 2025 has become a significant stage for our team in both professional and personal growth. We went through an intensive acceleration program, met like-minded peers, and were inspired by the stories of successful entrepreneurs,” said Arman Movsesyan, RAU Master’s Degree student and head of the university’s Engineering Club.
It is worth noting that the Sevan Startup Summit has long become a landmark event in the technological calendar of the region. Its goal is to bring together representatives of Armenia’s startup ecosystem in an informal yet productive setting — in tents, by the campfire, and in the open sky. This year the forum was held for the eighth time, presenting an expanded program with new formats, ranging from pitch sessions to workshops on future skills.
Since its foundation, the summit has hosted more than 50,000 participants and guests from 60 countries, playing a key role in shaping startup culture in Armenia and promoting it internationally.
