David Hayrapetyan Granted ICO/ICTP Gallieno Denardo Award

    Head of the Department of General Physics and Quantum Nanostructures of RAU David Hayrapetyan received an award for his significant contribution in the field of optics and photonics. The awarding ceremony was held in Italy.

    Head of the Department of General Physics and Quantum Nanostructures of Engineering Physics Institute of Russian-Armenian University David Hayrapetyan became the first young researcher from Armenia to receive the prestigious ICO/ICTP Gallieno Denardo Award.
     
    The Gallieno Denardo Award ceremony was held in Italy on February 14, at the Abdus Salam International Center for Theoretical Physics. As part of the award ceremony, David Hayrapetyan also delivered a lecture on Generalization of Kohn theorem for lens-shaped quantum dots: Theory and Experiment.
     
    The award was established in 2000 by the International Optical Committee (ICO) and the Abdus Salam International Center for Theoretical Physics (ICTP). It is awarded to young researchers (under the age of 40) from developing countries who are actively engaged in research in the field of optics and photonics.
