On October 24, a delegation from the St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (SPbPU) arrived at the Russian-Armenian University. The delegation included the Rector of SPbPU Andrey Rudskoy, Vice-Rector for International Affairs of SPbPU Dmitry Arsenyev, Deputy Head of the International Cooperation Department of SPbPU Nikita Golovin and Director of the Center for Continuing Professional Education of the Advanced Engineering School of SPbPU "Digital Engineering" Sergey Salkutsan. The meeting was also attended by Advisor, Representative of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation in the RA Mikhail Vozhdaev.

During the visit, the guests were thoroughly acquainted with the impressive scientific and scientific-technical potential of RAU. RAU Rector Edward Sandoyan, together with RAU Vice-Rector for Science Pargev Avetisyan and Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Marina Khachatryan spoke in detail about the university's strategy and plans.

The SPbPU delegation got acquainted with the scientific and laboratory base of the university, met with leading scientists of the university, as well as with students in the physics and mathematics, engineering and technology, medical and biological, biochemical and chemical fields.

The issue of interaction between RAU scientific schools and leading Armenian and Russian scientific centers was not left without attention. The guests were presented with a carefully thought-out cooperation map, which will undoubtedly become the basis for many joint projects in the field of science and technology.

During the excursion, the delegation held fruitful meetings with teachers and heads of RAU laboratories, discussing ways to further develop scientific areas. This visit became an important step towards creating sustainable ties that can take science in both countries to a new level. 

It should be noted that the delegation visited the RAU Museum, where the rector of SPbPU Andrey Rudskoy left a commemorative inscription in the museum’s book of memories.
