“We must remember our heroes”: commemoration of the victims of the 44-day war took place in RAU

    Students, academic staff, and personnel of Russian-Armenian University led by the university rector laid flowers at the Monument to the Fallen Students and Graduates of RAU in the Second Artsakh war.

    On September 27, students, academic and administrative staff of Russian-Armenian University led by the rector Edward Sandoyan laid flowers at the Monument to the Fallen Students and Graduates of RAU in the Second Artsakh war. The event was also attended by parents and friends of the heroes.
     
    Hripsime Margaryan, Adviser to the Rector on Youth Affairs, underlined that we must cherish the memory of our heroes and we must know their names. 
     
    “Students remember their university friends with all due respect and great love. Today's heroes give us strength to overcome the current challenging period for our nation”, shared Hripsime Margaryan. 
     
    Students also visited the Leonid Azgaldyan memorial auditorium, which was followed by a march to Yerablur Military Pantheon. 
     
    Note that the Monument to the Fallen Students and Graduates of Russian-Armenian University in the Second Artsakh war has been executed by sculptor Robert Askaryan (the author of the sketch is Honored Artist of Armenia Ruben Arutchyan).
     
    Eternal memory and glory to our heroes: Albert Hovhannesyan, Mkhitar Galeyan, Vrezh  Avetisyan, Arman Aghvanyan, Eduard Chichyan, Erik Azatyan, Gagik Brsoyan, Areg Barseghyan, Norayr Mayilyan, Tigran Shashikyan, Levon Khurshudyan, Beniamin Nalbandyan, Grigor Lemeshko, Vahe Yeghikyan,Tigran Poghosyan, Suren Gabrielyan, Karapet Burnazyan, Akop Yeghiazaryan, Norik Vardanyan, Erik Geghamyan, and Argishti Arakelyan.
