The University hosted the All-Russian Festival Science 0+

The Science Festival has become a good platform for the exchange of knowledge and ideas between scientists and students, which contributes to the development of scientific culture and increased interest in science among young people.

During the All-Russian festival SCIENCE 0+, on October 5 at the Russian-Armenian University, leading scientists from various fields of science gave lectures and discussed current scientific research and achievements with students.

“The event we are hosting is all about presenting and disseminating the role of science. I would like to thank all the participants and all those who made efforts to ensure that the science festival took place at the Russian-Armenian University. Our leading professors will present the significance and vision of the development of entire branches of science, from the simplest, most elementary to modern achievements,” said RAU Vice-Rector for Science Pargev Avetisyan.

According to him, RAU has always set itself the task of developing the university precisely from the point of view of strengthening the role of a research university: “Our scientists have put a lot of effort and resources in this direction: this is evidenced by the competitiveness of the Russian-Armenian University, reflected in numbers in national and international rating systems. In fact, this is a demonstration that the scientific policy pursued by the leadership of the university, professors, and leading scientists of RAU has a principled line, and the achievements of young researchers, undergraduates, and graduate students compete in general in the space of Armenia and Eurasia.”

Vice-Rector for International Cooperation of RAU Sergei Kapinos emphasized that interdisciplinary research is becoming more significant every day. For example, specialists in the field of biopharmacy at the Russian-Armenian University, together with Russian scientists, have developed one of the most effective anti-influenza drugs to date.

The Science Festival at the Russian-Armenian University has become a good platform for the exchange of knowledge and ideas between scientists and students, which contributes to the development of scientific culture and increased interest in science among young people.

The lectures were given by the Director of the RAU Institute of Engineering and Physics, Professor Hayk Sarkisyan ("From Spring Pendulum to Artificial Atom"), Director of the RAU Oriental Studies Institute, Professor Garnik Asatryan (Oriental Studies Perspectives"), researcher RAU Shushanik Kazaryan ("Nano-medicine: challenges and opportunities") and chief specialist of the RAU Science Department Meri Tadevosyan ("Popularization of Science among Youth").

It should be noted that the organizers of the Festival are the Government of Moscow, the Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov, the Ministry of Education and Science with the support of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The purpose of the event is to inform the society what scientists are doing, how scientific search improves the quality of life, what prospects it opens up to modern man.
