RAU Students Won the Hackathon in Tsakhkadzor

    The team GDS secured first place and the main prize amounting to 2.5 million AMD, while the second place and the prize of 1.5 million AMD went to the Mayk Talk team.

    The closing ceremony of the student hackathon, during which the results of the competition were summarized, was held in Tsakhkadzor on August 28. The 3-day event brought together about 100 students from 24 teams from various universities in Armenia.

    The Russian-Armenian University achieved a spectacular result at the competition. The team GDS secured first place and the main prize amounting to 2.5 million AMD, while the second place and the prize of 1.5 million AMD went to the Mayk Talk team. Both winning teams represent RAU. The third place was taken by the team VanLogic from the Vanadzor State University, receiving 1 million AMD.

    The hackathon participants presented innovative solutions in such areas as forecasting and management of natural disasters, digital image processing and intelligent technological solutions in urban planning.

    The organizers emphasized that the project seeks to strengthen ties with universities and students, help them navigate the field of technology, improve practical skills and foster innovative ideas.

    It should be noted that last year the RAU team Pumpkin Pie secured third place and won 1 million AMD.
