RAU Announces Change of Its Official Name
In English: Interstate Educational Organization of Higher Education "Russian-Armenian University"
The Press Office of the Russian-Armenian University announces a change in the official name of the educational institution following the adoption of the Charter of the Interstate Educational Organization of Higher Education "Russian-Armenian University".
The signing of the new Charter marks an important milestone in the University's development and the establishment of an updated regulatory framework governing its activities. The document was signed by Konstantin Mogilevsky, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, and Artur Martirosyan, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of the Republic of Armenia. The Charter defines the legal status, governance structure, and key principles governing the operation of the Russian-Armenian University as an interstate educational institution.
As part of the Charter's approval, the University's official name has also been revised.

The change of name reflects the University's unique interstate status, established and operating within the framework of cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Armenia. The new designation more fully emphasizes the University's legal nature, mission, and role in fostering a common educational and scientific space between the two countries.
The new Charter will facilitate the completion of the process of updating the University's regulatory framework and create additional opportunities for its further development, including strengthening scientific and educational cooperation between Russia and Armenia.
At the same time, the University preserves its historical continuity, academic traditions, educational programs, international partnerships, and strategic areas of activity.
