As part of an official visit to the Republic of Armenia, the delegation of the Chamber of Young Legislators under the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, together with representatives of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, visited the Russian-Armenian University on February 27.

 

During the visit, the guests were shown around the university’s educational and infrastructural facilities. The delegation got acquainted with the new academic building, visited the modern sports complex, and learned about the scientific and youth initiatives implemented at RAU. The visit program  included a flower-laying ceremony at the memorial to RAU students and graduates who died as a result of military  actions on the territory of Armenia and Artsakh from 2020 to 2023, as well as at the bust of Alexander Griboyedov in the university’s Park of Gratitude.

The signature event of the visit was a working meeting with the Rector of RAU, Professor Edward Sandoyan. The discussion focused on prospects for the development of cooperation, youth policy issues, and opportunities for implementing joint educational and public projects.

The parties also paid special attention to current issues of youth policy in Armenia and Russia, emphasizing their mutual interest in strengthening partnership ties and expanding bilateral cooperation.
