Visiting the Russian-Armenian University, one can recognize that great attention is paid to the study of the Chinese language and culture in the university. Chinese Ambassador to Armenia Fang Yun stated at the meeting with RAU Rector Edward Sandoyan on June 14. 

 

“I am confident that thanks to your team we will be able to strengthen cooperation in the field of education, which will increase the number of Chinese and Armenian students in Armenia and China respectively,” the diplomat addressed the RAU Rector. 

 

On his part, RAU Rector, RA and RF Doctor of Economics, Professor Edward Sandoyan expressed hope that the bilateral cooperation will result in the development of joint interesting and new projects: “The founders of our university, Russia and Armenia, welcome the development and strengthening links with Chinese universities and with China. I am confident that our meeting will bring practical results, and each of us will make a special contribution to achieving them.”

 

According to Edward Sandoyan, the Sino-Armenian partnership is not only political relations, but also well-developed economic and business cooperation.

 

Ambassador Fang Yun thanked for the hospitality, noting that the meeting will make it possible to draw certain conclusions necessary to establish effective cooperation and achieve more concrete results.

 

Yervand Margaryan, Director of the RAU Institute of International Relations and Socio-Political Sciences, also attended the meeting. He emphasized that RAU holds many events dedicated to Chinese language, culture, history and traditions.
