From November 21 to 25, within the framework of the consortium European-Asian Law University, Russian-Armenian University holds the first law school on introduction to the national law and the system of legal education of the EAU states, as well as countries interested in developing trade and economic cooperation with the Eurasian Union.

 

More than 200 students from Armenia, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan have registered to participate at the School.

 

Within a short period, students are given a unique opportunity to do intensive work with regards to the fundamentals of constitutional law, general characteristics of the system of the manifestation of the Republic of Armenia, based on the private, administrative, and tax law of the Republic of Armenia, peculiarities of customs regulation of foreign economic activity, and all of this in the context of Eurasian integration.

 

"This is an important event for young lawyers, because they get the opportunity not only to communicate directly with experienced specialists in the field and to establish important professional contacts, but it is also a unique opportunity for them to see real legal practice in the process of studying. For example, as part of one of the classes, there will be a visit to the Constitutional Court, which will be of particular interest to children who visit us from other countries. Talented young people have gathered at RAU, and, of course, such an experience cannot but affect the development of integration law. It is also important to emphasize that it is Russian-Armenian University, within the framework of the Consortium, that opens a series of such schools” - noted director of the Institute of Law and Politics Marianna Kalashyan.

 

The speakers of the School are lecturers of the Institute of Law and Politics and the Institute of Economics and Business of RAU who get to share their scientific and practical experience. An opportunity to establish new professional contacts has been created for the students of the School. The School serves as a great networking platform for young lawyers from EAU.
 
It should be noted that the students of the School are undergraduate and graduate students from more than 6 universities in the EAU, such as: Ural State Law University named after V. F. Yakovlev (Russian Federation), Alikhan Bokeikhan University / Caspian Public University (Kazakhstan), Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn (Kyrgyzstan), Karakalpak State University named after Berdakh (Uzbekistan), Belarusian State University (Republic of Belarus), and, of course, Russian-Armenian university. The format of the School is hybrid, which makes it accessible for students from other countries who were unable to come to Armenia.
