RAU and MIPT consolidate cooperation

    The parties will contribute to the establishment of scientific cooperation in the spheres of mutual interest, organize joint seminars and conferences, hold joint scientific projects and etc.

    Russian-Armenian University and Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology signed an agreement on cooperation in order to establish cooperation in the sphere of science, applied research, education, and culture on April 25th. The document was signed by the vice rector of RAU, Professor Pargev Avetisyan and the head of research, development, and commercialization of MIPT Sergey Garichev.

    According to the agreement, the parties will contribute to the establishment of scientific cooperation in the spheres of mutual interest, organize joint seminars, round tables and conferences, hold joint scientific projects and programs, including international. Besides, the parties intend to hold educational and work practices for students.

    The agreement on cooperation was signed within the frames of visit of the delegation of MIPT to RAU. The members of the delegation- head of the research, development, and commercialization Sergey Gаrichev, the executive director of the Centre of transfer of technologies of MIPT Yelena Gorina and the deputy of the head of chemical and biotechnological synthesis laboratory of MIPT Andrey Temnov.

    Especially for the guests, Director of the RAU Institute of Biomedicine and Pharmacy Arsen Arakelyan gave a tour of the RAU laboratories, and Head of the Department of General Physics and Quantum Nanostructures David Hayrapetyan and Head of the Department of System Programming Sevak Sargsyan presented the projects they are currently involved in.The MIPT delegation also met with the rector of the Russian-Armenian University, Professor Armen Darbinyan: the colleagues discussed the prospects for cooperation both in the fields of fundamental and exploratory research, as well as in the fields of applied research and commercialization.  On April 26, the delegation also visited the university for a more detailed presentation of key projects that could become the basis for interaction.

    It should be noted that the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology is one of the leading technical universities in Russia.  According to most national and international rankings, MIPT is among the top three universities in Russia, occupying high positions in the fields of physics, mathematics, computer and technical sciences, biology and electronics.
