The delegation includes David Hayrapetyan, Head of the Department of General Physics and Quantum Nanostructures of RAU and Coordinator of the NanoQIQO Horizon 2020 Twinning project; Artavazd Kostanyan, Senior Researcher of the Department of General Physics and Quantum Nanostructures; Head of the International Cooperation Department Liana Margaryan;  Ani Avetisyan, Chief Specialist of the Department of Science; Chief Accountant Arman Amroyan, Scientific Secretary Roza Kasababova, Head of the Department of Economic Accounting and Procurement Ashot Ktsyan. The trip was also attended by members of the NanoQIQO Horizon 2020 Twinning Program Advisory Board, Chairman of the RA Science Committee Sargis Hayotsyan and Director of the Institute of Physical Research Aram Papoyan. The project is aimed at stimulating the research and technological potential of RAU and its partners in the field of nanomaterials, quantum informatics and quantum optics.Along with the development of science and research activities, the aim of the project is also to improve the skills of administrative staff in order to promote the internationalization of scientific and educational processes.

On the first day of the visit Memorandum on mutual understanding between Russian-Armenian University and University of Patras, as well as special agreement on joint guidance of dissertations in the sphere of quantum nanostructures. On the second day, the meeting  of Consultative Assembly in the intramural and extramural  format took place, where the coordinator of the project David Hayrapetyan  presented the work done and the main outcome of the project in the past year, after which parties discussed following stages and further plans. Scientific workers held a set of meetings and discussions with colleagues, visited laboratories of the University of Patras and for the first time of the project implementation did a joint work on scientific research in the intramural format. During the visit, meetings and discussions of administrative workers of RAU with supervisors of the corresponding units of the University of Patras were organized with the aim to exchange experience and acquisition of practice in the sphere of administrative management and internationalization.

It should be reminded that the project “Enforcement of scientific innovative potential of the Russian-Armenian University in the sphere of nanomaterials for the quantum information and quantum optics (NanoQIQO)” was recognized as one of the winner of the “Horizon 2020 Twinning” EU program.
