Russian-Armenian University (RAU) to implement courses on project activities and more

    RAU and Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University signed a roadmap.

    A delegation from RAU, led by Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Sergey Kapinos, visited Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University on September 5. 
    During the meeting, they signed a Roadmap for implementing the course "Fundamentals of Project Activities" at RAU.  
     
    "In the near future, one more roadmap is going to be signed. In this case, each map possesses its own limits, defined contour and direction, these being extremely significant milestones in the development of our collaboration,“ - assured Vice-Rector for International Cooperation of RAU Sergey Kapinos.

    According to him, Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University is one of the most prominent educational institutions in the field of education of Russia. Suffice it to say that this university has trained several Nobel Prize laureates. 

    "The scale of this university is amazing. We have learned what can be useful for our university and what we can adapt on Yerevan soil. And in this regard, both official discussions and contacts, for instance, with the rector and the head of staff of the Rector of St. Petersburg University were useful, concrete and effective," Sergey Kapinos highlighted.

    Director of the Institute of Engineering and Physics of RAU Hayk Sargsyan noted that the meeting was very efficient, new directions of cooperation were outlined and the existing scientific ties were to be expanded and deepened. 

    "We received a very warm welcome. There were discussions about possible areas of cooperation, both in the field of economics and in the field of electronics, technology and chemistry. We hope that in the future this cooperation will be increasingly strengthened and expanded, and the results will soon become tangible," Hayk Sargsyan emphasized.

    In the course of the visit, the delegation of the Russian-Armenian University awarded the Vice-Rector for International Affairs of SPbPU, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor Dmitry Arsenyev with the RAU Gold Medal for his great personal contribution to the development and strengthening of productive cooperation in the field of education and science.

    In addition, Nikita Golovin, Deputy Head of the Department of International Cooperation of SPbPU, was presented with the title of Honorary Knight of the "Friends Club of RAU". 
    It should be noted that the parties agreed to deepen further cooperation in such fields of training as psychology and pedagogy, political science and regional studies, philosophy and other social sciences. 

    On behalf  of RAU, the meetings were also attended by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Marina Khachatryan, Head of the Department of Economic Theory and Problems of Transition Economy Irina Petrosyan, Head of the Rector's Office Serine Misisyan, Head of the Laboratory of Bioactive Aza-Heterocycles, Professor of the Department of General and Pharmaceutical Chemistry of the Institute of Biomedicine and Pharmacy Gevorg Danagulyan, Head of the Laboratory of Structural Bioinformatics, and Senior Lecturer of the Department of General and Pharmaceutical Chemistry of the Institute of Biomedicine and Pharmacy Lernik Hunanyan.
