The student of the Chair of Civil Law and Civil Procedure Law of the Institute of Law of the Russian-Armenian University, Yekaterina Andriasyan, became the winner in the "Best public speaker" nomination following the results of the XXIII International Scientific Conference of Students and Young Scientists "The Evolution of Russian Law". The conference was organized by the Ural State Law University named after V.F. Yakovlev (Yekaterinburg).

 

The student made a report that was devoted to the results of a study in civil law of the concepts of "Act of God" and "force majeure". The results of the study revealed the identification of different categories in the legal systems of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Armenia. In her article, Yekaterina Andriasyan tried to understand the reasons for this perception, taking into account the legal regulation of this issue in many foreign countries.  The main task was to show how such identification affects civil law relations, and also to propose developing a more flexible approach to these concepts, which, in turn, can serve as the basis for more effective and expedient legal regulation.
