Irina Firsova will deliver an open lecture on the topic: “The Role of Strategic Marketing in a Modern Organization”

On March 31 at 12:50 in room №405, Irina Firsova, Doctor of Economics, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Marketing at the Higher School of Management of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, a member of the Austrian-Russian Friendship Society (ORFG) and the Guild of Marketers, will deliver an open lecture on the topic: "The Role of Strategic Marketing in a Modern Organization".
 
Irina Firsova is the author of more than 150 academic and methodological publications. She is a co-author of textbooks and teaching materials in the fields of management, marketing, managerial decision-making, and physics. Her research covers management, marketing, HR marketing, and electric power engineering. Her academic interests include management, marketing, electric power engineering, small business strategies, and personnel development. She has developed and teaches courses such as “Managerial Decision-Making,” “Strategic Marketing,” “Marketing Management,” and “Design Thinking in HR Marketing,” among others.

The topic “The Role of Strategic Marketing in a Modern Organization” is one of the key components of the course and covers the following aspects:
• the role, functions, and objectives of strategic marketing in a modern organization
• two dimensions of marketing—strategic and operational—and their interrelationship
• the essence of strategic thinking in organizational leadership, including strategic activities based on core elements such as vision, mission, and goal-setting, which form the foundation of a marketing strategy

The lecture consists of two parts: in the first part, the speaker introduces the key features of strategic marketing and explains the fundamentals of developing a mission and marketing objectives; in the second part, students will complete a practical assignment under the guidance of instructors to reinforce the knowledge gained.
