RAU Professor Vahe Davtyan Spoke at an International Conference in Beijing
The conference High-Quality Joint Construction of the Belt and Road was organized by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
Professor of the Department of Political Science at the Institute of International Relations and Socio-Political Sciences of the Russian-Armenian University, Doctor of Political Sciences Vahe Davtyan, took part in the international conference High-Quality Joint Construction of the Belt and Road, organized by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and held in Beijing on November 18–20.
The event brought together leading scholars, experts, and representatives of the private sector from countries of Europe, Asia, Latin America, and other regions, enabling the creation of a platform for the exchange of experience, discussion of current trends in the development of transport and economic corridors, as well as the development of practical recommendations for international cooperation.
During the conference, Vahe Davtyan delivered a report in which he addressed in detail geo-economic and transport-logistics initiatives in the South Caucasus, as well as the global and regional objectives of the Middle Corridor and TRIPP initiatives. The speaker presented regional realities through the prism of China’s strategic goals, in particular in the context of the integration of the region into the Belt and Road Initiative.
“For Armenia, participation in such international forums is of strategic importance. The conference not only makes it possible to exchange advanced academic and practical approaches, but also strengthens Chinese-Armenian relations, opening new prospects for joint projects in the fields of economy, transport, and infrastructure,” the professor emphasized.
It should be noted that High-Quality Joint Construction of the Belt and Road is a concept that implies deepening cooperation between China and other countries for the implementation of projects within the framework of the One Belt, One Road initiative.
