Employees of the Institute of Biomedicine and Pharmacy of the Russian-Armenian University spoke at the NASA conference

    The RAU delegation made three oral and one poster presentations on the long-term health risks of space radiation.

    Director of the Institute of Biomedicine and Pharmacy of the Russian-Armenian University, Doctor of Biological Sciences Arsen Arakelyan, Head of the Department of Bioengineering, Bioinformatics and Molecular Biology of the Russian-Armenian University, PhD Roxana Zakharyan and Senior Lecturer of the Department, PhD Suren Davitavyan took part in the NASA Human Research Program Investigators' Workshop conference. The conference was organized by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and was held in Galveston (USA) on January 28-31.
     
    The NASA conference is one of the key platforms for scientific cooperation in the field of deep space missions. The RAU delegation made three oral and one poster presentations on the long-term health risks of space radiation.
     
    It should be noted that the results presented by the RAU employees were obtained within the framework of the projects Advance of the Armenian Science and Technology Foundation and 25FAST-1F004 of the Higher Education and Science Committee of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia.
