Study and Travel: Exchange Students Arrive at RAU

10 students from Russia have arrived at RAU as part of the student exchange program.

As part of the student exchange program, 10 students from Russia have arrived at RAU. These young people have come not only to study but also to immerse themselves in the rich culture, traditions and history of our country.

On their first day at the university, the students met representatives of the RAU Department of International Cooperation. During the meeting, they were introduced to the university, its history, educational programs and the unique opportunities it offers.

The department staff also shared useful advice about life in Armenia.

"Don't be afraid to try new things," said Irina Sarkisyan, a senior specialist at the Department of International Cooperation. "Armenia is famous for its cuisine. Be sure to try khorovats (barbecue - TN), tolma (meat rolled up in grape leaves - TN) and the renowned Armenian lavash (flatbread - TN)."

The students also received information about local landmarks and cultural events.

"Yerevan is a city that combines ancient history with modernity. Don’t miss the opportunity to visit places like the Cascade, Republic Square, Matenadaran and many more," added Lilith Vairadyan, Acting Head of the Department of International Cooperation.

Alisa Yolkina from ITMO University (St. Petersburg) was among the students who came through the mobility program: "I’m very happy to have the opportunity to study in Armenia. This is not only a chance to gain new knowledge but also to immerse myself in a different culture."

Another participant, Stepan Kosygin from Saint Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design, was impressed by the sheer scale of RAU premises: "This is undoubtedly one of the best universities I’ve ever been to."

Throughout the next semester, the Russian students will study various disciplines, participate in research projects and engage in cultural activities, making their time in Armenia truly unforgettable.

The students hope that their academic experience at RAU will be engaging and enriching. They are eager to explore new subjects, and some have even expressed interest in adding the Armenian language to their course load.
