Students of RAU Oriental Studies Department won prizes at Hindi Day competition

    The event was organized by the Indian Embassy in Armenia.

    Students of RAU Oriental Studies Department  won prizes following the results of the traditional competition dedicated to the International Hindi Day.
     
    Master's student of Oriental Studies at RAU Sergey Barinyan took first place. He delivered an essay on the topic "Hindi is the heir to Indian civilization."
     
    “Hindi is not just a language, but a bearer of Indian culture, traditions and values. Its roots stretch from the Vedic era to modern India. Hindi has been preserving the messages of Indian civilization for centuries and transmitting them to the new world,” he highlighted.
     
    Kristina Grigoryan-Franken, a RAU student of Oriental Studies, took the honorable third place. She read poems by well-known Indian writers Gulzar and Makhanlal Chaturvedi.
     
    It should be noted that the event was organized by the Indian Embassy in Armenia.
